Making a decision to enlist in the Peace Corps will give you memories and experiences that will benefit you for the rest of your life. By signing with the Peace Corps, you will be placed in a region that has a need for people of your background and expertise. This however, does not mean that special qualifications are necessary. All that is required of you is enthusiasm and a motivation to make a difference. You may also choose your assignment preference, though it is not guaranteed that you will be placed to work in your desired location.

All Peace Corps assignments are 27 months in duration. You will be given vacation time as well as a small living allowance. During your time overseas, you will learn the language of the region as well as valuable skills that can prove to be of value to employers upon your return.
