1. Research
Read in depth, compile questions and hear the stories of those who have walked the path you hope to take.
2. The Application
Applying for you term will take patience this important step takes six to nine months to complete. Regional recruiters are available to help you through the process.Never heard of this before? Get up to speed here. Take time to have an idea of where you see yourself serving.
3. Flexibility Keep in mind that adapting to new culture and building relationships require time and effort. Expect challenges but realize these lead to greatness.
4. Educate Family and Friends
Make plans ahead of time to stay connected with family and friends while you are away. Help them understand the adventure you are about to embark on.
5. Packing Preparation
When your location is chosen you will receive a packing list. Remember to pack light and choose luggage that you can maneuver easily.
